In the post war years Georg Dück sen. could often be seen on the streets of Munich with his handcart full of used metal on his way to the trader. In 1954 he and his partner founded their first company, Lamprecht und Dück. The following years were marked by steady growth. In 1967 the partners split by mutual agreement. Georg Dück sen. established the Dück KG in Riesstraße in Munich. Only one year later his oldest son joined the company followed by his brother in 1972, the year the Olympic Games took place in Munich. Ten years later, in 1982, the continuously growing family business moved to the premises of what is still today the largest scrap yard in Munich at more than 80.000 m² containing a large scrap shear and a shredder.

In 1990 the MRM GmbH was founded. With Georg Dücks grandson joining in 2004, the third generation entered the company. The turbulent market situation in the beginning of the 21st century could not harm the company, indeed even in the crisis-ridden year 2008 the MRM GmbH managed to double its turnover and it‘s still very much business as usual.
